What do u want me to say? To bring in arguments to support their imperialistic views? If you hadnt noticed, i am extremely against imperialism and authoritarian rule. Congo was used as a private colony by the belgium king. All its treasures went to the kings savings. I think there have been more deaths by europeans in the native americans if you include diseases unintentionally brought by the europeans such as small-pox, influenze, measles. 90% of indigineos pop died in a period of 100 years. War in Iraq has left up to maybe 700k - 1 million deaths. India 1.8 billion deaths?, please use your own brain for this. Even the source you are giving is using extrapolaring measurements. Its like saying you could have had 10 billion people by the year 2100, but because we invaded in 1900 you only have 2 billion, hence we killed 8 billion of your people. Indian population in: 1500 : 100mil 1700: 160 mil 1800: 185 mil 1900: 200 mil 1948: 361 mil Furthermore, populations tend to increase or decrease by the productivity levels of food. If you have food you can feed more people. Now to your argument of 1.8 billion people died to british rule, is plain wrong. Did indians make what 100 children per year per woman? And the argument of 45$ trillion doesnt stand here as well. Where is that wealth now? Also extrapolates here as well, with interest rates as minimum of 5% per year, what a joke. I dont even get why the west even sends reparations. As if the Romans ever repaid the sacking of England. As if the Goths ever repaid the italians the sacking of italian vilages. As if Mongolia ever repays their sacking of villages. In war this happens. The victor decides, survival of the fittest, if you are weak you are up to the mercy of the strong. Because of this, there should be no reparation payments. If India or whichever country does not like it, they can stop trading with the west and stay poor, backwards, desintegrate and become weak again. Now on terms of globalism and international connectedness and international trade having gains. In that spectrum i would say, these third world countries need investing, finance, protectionism, no dumping, all measures required for their proces of economic integration. Philosophy is: if Africa becomes rich, it will be beneficial to the west. In absolute terms the west can gain a lot. In relative terms, its obvious that africa will gain way more. This has been the philosophy towards China the past 40 years. In absolute terms, the west gains but in relative terms china gains way more. However, i would only support this view if it brings it closer to the first goals, such as globalism, international connectedness and international trade. Because someone who is related more to the UK or germany will not war or have negative views on UK/ germany. The same applies to countries like China or Russia. The more they are connected the less their people have negative views on them. Its no coincidence that there is no war in western Europe for nearly 80 years. The continent is too connected to war each other. There are no gains to be made from war. Just remember that when you point your finger to someone (the west) that youre pointing 4 fingers to yourself. So, to not be some hypocritical moron, first try fix your own shit before pointing your finger.
