Idk when u ssed but everytime im online I see more games on new map or the same number of games on new map being hosted. Yesterday afternoon we actually had more scenarios hosted than old world map, rest of the games were world map 2.0.

Think thats because of double sp weekend though, the moment that went away it went back to this. I saw this too in lobby, I dont think that's good foreboding considering it's less than a week in. Even if people are still playing it, its not like during weekend where it was 80% world map 2.0

I disagree here with my fellows. " World map 2.0 " was asked by the community from long time, even when it had no clear vision how would it look like in terms of new economy, current situation and compat community be able play and enjoy 3v3 in different preset. If we compare now new map with old map, old map had no balanced picks for 3v3 or counter picks for asia preset and Na.

Coming to second point I myself has observed closely new players in beginers room, new players likes to make tanks or planes more often than infantry due to a modern warfare, we will label them as noob but that should not be the case, new players likes to make modern troops so I'm sure they will love to make newly introduce units as well.

In terms of making map user friendly for new players I don't think so it's really an issue, new players will surely struggle a bit for a while but they will adapt themselves to new map in some short time, we should not compare ourselves to them.

In terms of balancing we all know it takes so much time to balance a map in term of every pick, I'm sure every scen player is aware of what I'm talking, currently we are discussing about a map that can be played by 50+ players at same time though limit is 40, it will take time but the result will be satisfying.

Lastly regarding map editor and bugs if Dave can make a discussion room with all map makers to discuss the problems and their solution it will benefit both parties.

I'm well aware it wasn't only on the map, but of course when double sp weekend happens, more people will be playing, which subsequently means more on world map 2.0. But the fact that lobby's game ratio changed that drastically just the following day isn't a good sign by any means lol. I still think that's some bad foreboding. I'm still under the impression the honeymoon period is gonna end after about 2 weeks and 1.0's gonna be the permanent lobby again

I can confirm this, that's why I made my comment about the statistics here. But some few people insist on believing and repeating that false information. Guys, what you want so bad is not supposed to be real all the time.

Guys lets not jump to conclusions here. Firstly, the old world map is the default when someone hosts a game. Players might not even know they can host 2.0. Especially since non prem cannot host any map except the world map and promoted maps.

Unfortunately some maps that were broken by old versions of the map editor are permanently broken, there's not much I can do about that. However if you're creating new maps you shouldn't have any problems now.

I think there are some reasons for this and i will give my opinions why i think its like this:
- Too many 1 reinf capital cities or non cap looks like some RP map
- Stupid balkanization of lands like in RNW , i dont wanna spend time walling all those worthless cities , or if u dont do it get airdropped enemies there
- New players arent as fast in gameplay as us so they prefer old map cause its simpler
- Oil rigs and mines are just ... nope .. i understand it is to not drive cost of countries up but again they are RP elements , dont wanna waste time on them like other 1 reinf cities
- Kuril islands a chain of 1 reinf cities , has 8 reinf combined as much as tokyo what the hell is this?
- Seems most of the work was focused on USA dividing it into all of its states but even that doesnt look good looks overwhelming for me even let alone a new player
- China and India look good though , but remove those 1 reinf cities that are connected to india like in maldives and andaman islands they are a headache
- The rivers are a good concept but its too time consuming to use them in gameplay
- Trivial but the old map just looks better i guess , new one too bright and the permafrost in the north sucks also i saw some brown stuff near china SK and bangladesh etc
- Africa and South america looks good maybe a bit more income boost on africa would be great

So i think map looks too complicated and strange for new players and looks like RP map and a headache of 1 reinf cities and capitals for old players
