Yea on the points.
1. We need a mapmaker obviously.
2. We need a new main competitive map. 1 that is equal to or surpasses eu+ in quality but offers different gameplay. That meta is stale af.
3. For new strategies wed need new units added to the default. The current units have been innovated upon to death. The only competitive strats that been suggested in the past 4 years with any potential is desus marine defence strat and cthulhus strat. And even those concepts are a bit out there. scorched earth and hold the line are both troll and have no competitive potential in the current meta.
The admins had a buildings idea which they never got around to. Fortifications which gave +1 defence to all units in a city. An income building which cost a lot initially but more than paid for itself over time. A reinforcement depot. That idea alone would reinvigorate the current meta.

Can you offer a bit of inspiration here?
There was a point at which all enigma members became map makers (sadly it lasted only for a week or so) and we were trying to create a competitive map, however no matter how hard we tried we could only come up with turk-ukraine scenarios and uk-germ scenarios, which are all equally boring since they're just the same playstyle with different expansions.
What other variables do you think I could change apart from the number of starting reinfs, number of ports and how accessible income is?

This was a concept i had in mind but ofc no functional map editor to complete it. I was unable to get silverlight to work for me.
But it wouldve been a difficult task anyway. I believe i could do the balancing part no problem. Its getting the aesthetics and the layout right thats the hard part.

Laochra you just need a map editor...i think that the generic world map has a lot of fun....try to play south america,middle east,asia,medditerenian etc.
When you fill you have played those maps with all countries all strats and all amount of money then yes you need a different map but i dont think admins will make this one....is up to comunity and there are many scenarios that are balanced so maybe go for one of aetius maps

Theres a reason eu+ remains the competitive standard and no its not because ppl are unwilling to change. We just have no better map.
south america - large landmass, imp and blitz main strats. games tend to be long and little room for creativity.
mid east - imp and gw are primary strats. fun but lack of strat and expansion diversity means it gets old quickly.
east asia - Too few viable picks
meditteranean - imp/blitz fest again due to low income and so much water.
Compare this with eu+ - almost all strats are competitively viable. Games are usually quick. to quote vril.
The diversity of regions enriches the game play on the EU+ map. Make sure you include the following regions:
- High income, High reinforcements, medium/high density (Germany, France, UK, Rus. Central)
- High income, low reinforcements, low/medium density (Norway, Sweden, Finland, Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland)
- Medium income, low/medium reinforcements, low density (Russia... )
- Medium income, High reinforcements, medium density (Spain, Italy, Ukraine)
- Low/medium income, medium reinforcements, medium/high density (Greece, Poland, Serbia, Romania, Belarus, Austria)
- Low income, high reinforcements, high density (Turkey)
- Low income, low/medium reinforcements, high density (aka Balkan countries/ former yugoslavia or capital only countries)

A lot of thought and effort has been put into it in regards balance and realism. Its impressive. My only gripe is its such a time commitment. If you sit down to play a ww1 then be prepared to go the full 5 hours. Also im not a fan of the kind of mass stacking autism that occurs lategame. But thats personal taste.

Aetius's map is to linear to be competitive, it's the same issue I run into when I try to make a competitive map. ty but for now im going to watch and see what happens with all this ddosing stuff and the potential of a new coder. Not sure if its worth going to such an effort with all the issues aw has atm. But yea i think i can do it, especially with community assistance.

Didnt want to offend you i know who you are but i am not a 6 month r9 player...i find fun is asia south america pacific and oceania...they arent balance like eu+ but they are different and i think this is what community needs.

Can we have a timeline when those things will be ready? Also we dont mind having mods for honour but we want players being mods because they can actually moderate AW and be active atleast 1 24/7 and actually force the law with proper warnings and always to ban someone using ss of what he done and quote of the rule he broke.
