If this were just a personal project where no money from players was going into it, I would understand a poor connection and disconnects.

That being said, people are giving you their money in the form of subscriptions and perks, so the very least you can do is provide a stable host to play on. I thought that the shitty disconnections of the past were behind us so I decided to donate, I now severely regret that decision. Please fix your host.

They really dont care and never have, the devs think they are doing you the favour just for providing the platform, they fail to see however that upon monetising the platform requires a level of service, updates, fixes and stability. None of this is apparent on a consistent basis.

I don't think they really care about the game anymore. It has barely changed in the past few years and while it's great that they're finally working on html5 after god knows how long, it seems it was largely because of the strikes beginning to organize among some players and most of thee work is being done by Clovis, who is more like one of us. I don't see why they do not give players more power over how the game evolves. As long as money is made by Ivan and Amok it should not matter
to them.

Uh, geniuses - they've been actively improving the game lately - they have the completed editor ,which is in a player test phases, and they are adding buildings, which is also in a player test phase. They made changes to units and strats not long ago, based on player input. In fact, there are more proposed changes that are currently in the player test phase.

Quit bitching and try out the new features and give them constructive feedback.

Saddens me to see we are still having issues like this, from what I know Ivan seems to be strictly the designer and doesn't know much of anything else while Amok I guess isn't motivated to do anything other than general matinence if even that. They have hired a new dev to help push things along but none of us quite know how much power he has over the actual code. I do think they said they had moved to new server providers cause of the last ddos attack so it's weird we are still having these issues I suppose.

Of course it's based on luck - it's a board game! It allows for real world problems that can happen - a mediocre pilot, a malfunction, etc. That's part of the skill of the game - to be able to handle problems. It would be pretty boring if you could just match up the numbers and win every time.

And, yes, they did make changes. I thought for sure it was last year this time, but it might have been 2016. They added +1 capacity for NC Destroyers, they increased the base range for AA guns to 4R (so that, with upgrades, the AA guns are as fast as Infantry), they added 6 upgrades, there were changes to GC, and there were changes to Air and Naval Transports for SM and NC, respectively, that changed the bonus to only +1D but then added +2HP (so that Militia would die before the transports do). I think there were one or two other changes, but I don't recall. Amok's posts are still available to peruse, I would assume.

If it wasn't based on luck we'd then have people crying about op countries until the point where everyone managed to achieve a perfect 50:50 win/loss ratio with every pair of countries (for eg winning half the time as ukr and half the time as turk).

People would then cry for the luck factor to be added back.

I haven't had any disconnections for the last 5 months or so, after the admins fixed servers; perhaps its just your internet? Admins actually fixed the servers and there shouldn't be issues with connection

So is D&D but there are stats in D&D that mitigate pure chance, like 2d4+4 etc, So instead of making tanks roll a 1d8, make them roll a 2d4 when attacking and a 1d4 when defending, something like that. So basically 3 militia should NEVER be able to beat 4 tanks, but it happens. Also varying hit points for different kinds of units might help too, like a tank and a militia having the same HP is kinda dumb.

I used to smoke cigarettes when i was student. In France it was 5 euros for 20 cigarettes at that time, which i consumed in 1 day.

Sun tzu has tried many times to improve this game, but lacked the power and knowledge to do so. By being a meatshield, for all the insults and blames of failure in this game aimed at ivan and amok, it doesn't mean that he supported them.
