These days, I am having long discussions with my friends about abortion.
Few of us stands behind opinion that's a murder and few are staying behind opinion that's not a murder (saying that zygote isn't human being), but women's right.

I don't understand how can someone, with clear mind, negate abortus as a murder and call it as women's right.
Evolution of human being doesn't start suddenly by birth, but by conception when man's gametes unit with women's, and should be respected and protected it from conception to natural death.
Giving a women right to decide should she born or not her own child is giving women right to decide should she commit a murder or not. Okay, even if we accept abortus as women's private right, it still doesn't change the fact you purposely stopped someone's life. Arguments as 'what if she doesn't have money to restrain that kid after birth' or 'its better than the child ends up in a home for abandoned children because his mother didn't want a child' are not arguments, but bullshit unbased theories which are forced by people who support abortion.
So, if my family doesn't have money to give me food and rest of primary life things, they should kill me, right?
Each person is responsible for their actions, so if you took a step to have sex, you are accepting the possibility of the conception of the child and just because you don't want a child, it doesn't give you fucking right to stop his evolution by abortion. Then you shouldn't step in sex or should take that dick in ass, rather than in vagina.

Right on life is above all other rights (such as, the mother's right to elect whether to child) and non theory can refute it.
Mother Teresa said on her speech at the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979, that "the greatest destroyer of peace today is the cry of an innocent, unborn child. When a mother can in her lap kill her own child, which is then worse crime there than that we start alone kill each other? "


What if I tell you that there were over 43 million abortions during 2003. Almost 118 000 abortions per day, which is almost 5 000 abortions per hour and which is over 81 abortion per minute. Are we really that fucked up?

Must debate them!

--> Long story short, usual theist shit. I hit them in the face with facts, they replied with sentimental bullshit " life is life" "the embryo can feel because i am a mother and i know" "scientists dont know" "the bible says.." after which i was like, why the fuck do i even bother. I keep trying, time and time again and always get the same result, why do i keep doing it. Lord knows..

A happily married women for 10 years gets brutally raped in the streets. She is now impregnated with a child (which she learns about the very next day). Why would this women keep the child? It was against here consent, it would only bring back bad memories, and maybe she is not in the financial position to raise a kid. Therefore even if the kid was born he would live would out his true mother or father as he would be taken to child services if the mother was unable to provide.

Now would you tell this mother to suck it up, and take care of the child. I can bet you any money you as the husband would be screaming at her to get rid of it.

A man shoots and kills a woman and her unborn child. Not only does he get charged with the murder of the woman, he gets charged with double murder.

I'm not gonna do a long discussion of this, but I think Abortion should be a choice that can be made by the woman (or couple), considering their superior interest and financial/social etc.. conditions.

I'm in favour of Abortion also (if woman agrees) in cases of crime, like Rape. a Woman who was raped should not be forced to have a child she didn't want.

The biological processes of a foetus are not independent - they exist only as an extension of the mother's own biological system - like her leg.

seriously Not once was the word religious used or any reference to religion used. Murder is murder killing a baby is still murder, however i'm a true beleiver in free will and choice, so it is there choice to kill the baby if they are that way inclined, however its my choice to protect that child so as long as i'm alive i'll try to protect the child,

the only time abortion is in any way excusable imo is if the mother is in danger of death herself and then its again entirely up to that mother.

This question is based solely on social ethics and personal morals. If a society believes that is is ok to kill the child before its born that pionts more to an innate sickness in that society.

However if your society thinks that is ok to deal death out among itself no less its own young then that society is pretty much doomed to die. also on personal levels you can try to base your arguments around science but in the end murder is murder Its natural to kill you do it to eat to survive but its not natural to kill your own no less your young.
Most evolutionary studies would find that a species/society adapts and survives for the sole benefit of its future generations. Everything about a living organsims is geared to the benifit of the future generation. In that alone you should be able to see that its fucked up to end the life of something everyone should be guiding to maturity not killing before it can even breath.

Stop taking the topic out of proportion. An abortion ONLY occurs when the baby is INSIDE the mother, no one is talking about murdering a two year old baby except you. ABORTION is the topic at hand, I'm not saying that killing is right. What I'm saying is the baby is in no position to make its own decisions, and no one else but the MOTHER and the FATHER have the right to the life of that baby. About your evolution thing, please don't go all coo-coo on me. It's proven fact humans evolved from apes. Religion has no proof but bunch of people willing to be spoon fed anything to help them get through their lives. Humans always need something to believe, if it help you - look at science as a religion. Also, what do you do if the mother will die if she attempts to keep the baby? Now do you value one humans life over another?

Nobody has the right of life to any-other human being. That is just wrong. I don't care what the circumstances are (love, money, anything). Life is precious, I do not care the circumstance.
When I was born, there was a 25% chance I would have a rare disease, and the doctors asked my parents if they wanted an abortion. My parents said no, that would never happen. If they decided to kill me, I obviously wouldn't be here today. And honestly, I would much rather be alive and poor than dead.

I believe that human life starts as soon as conception occurs.
I believe that a human taking the life of another human is murder. (and you have to admit, babies ARE humans, like it or not)
I believe that abortion is wrong based on these facts.
I believe that no matter what situation the child will be in, he still has a RIGHT to have a life.

For example, in my perfect world... Abortion would be illegal (Unless the baby has a significant chance to have health defects that would make his life permanently miserable, its the product of incest, rape or the life of the mother is in danger). To justify this, the state will subsidize birth-control methods, basic sex-ed will be freely available but optional and the state would take over any child that is unwanted at birth.

Of course Religion fundamentalist would oppose my suggestion because they are against any type of birth control, and Anarchists would oppose my suggestion because Big Brother is not giving them absolute freedom. But remember goys, both fundamentalist and anarchist gave up their natural rights when they become citizens of a secular state

A happily married women for 10 years gets brutally raped in the streets. She is now impregnated with a child (which she learns about the very next day). And let's say she is in the financial position to raise a kid, so she keeps it.
Two years pass, the woman's husband is dead, the woman is in complete poverty, and can barely provide for herself. To avoid the responsibility of caring for her child, she kills him. She is discovered killing the child, and charged with murder.

So its murder after two years but not two years earlier?

What if you were that unborn baby due to rape, would you want your mother to kill you?

Honestly, that's basically suicide.

The rapist doesn't deserve to have his gens in the gen-pool. Unwanted pregnancies can be prevented and the mother bears responsibility for them, Rapes can't be prevented and the mother is not at fault.
