My hometown:
Odessa, Ukraine (that extra city you get with premium). The city was designed by foreign architects to be a rich port city for the Russian Empire, after Catherine The Great ordered to built it after Russia's victory in Turkish-Russian war.
Which is why the old town has this type of planification: european styled with wide streets.
The Opera House built by Austrian architects.
The Arcadia beach zone: which is full of luxury hotels, parties for the rich and fun if you are a tourist searching for emotions.
Train station.
This is the pier and the terminal for the tourist cruiser.
In the old town you have a lot of this super cute cafes and restaurants with slavic and international food at a good price. When I went for vacation last year here, it was extremely cheap so foreigners are normally surprised by that.
The town I lived until 2017: Las Palmas, Spain
Las Palmas is located in the island of Gran Canaria (that other small town you get with premium but located near Africa). Gran canaria and the Canary islands are famous for being major touristic destinations, despite that there are not that much of tourists in the town, most go to the south.
The town has a lot of story it has been an important port in the Spain-Americas trade route, and also a strategic point for the spanish leaders.
It has a huge commercial port (filled up with african and russian ships tho) and it's also an important cruiser destination.
The Cathedral of Santa Ana located in the old town.
Triana which is basically the main shopping street in the city.
In winter while half Europe is waiting for summer, Las Palmas hosts a huge carnival (5 weeks) which attracts thousands of people to the city. It's fun and its a good way to understand the local culture.
Las Palmas is a place to party, not to work super hard neither stress out. People take everything with calm and dont bother with the speed.
Las Canteras: the main beach of the city.
I hope you enjoyed this small review.
