Greenland

The President is considering making Greenland a U.S. territory. Once Greenland is annexed by the United States, the U.S. will be the third largest nation on Earth, surpassing China by any metric. We've fought in Vietnam, Iraq, Balkans, Libya... and we have no lands to vindicate those who died. The only territories we hold are the memorials where our soldiers lost their lives. This is the beginning of a new age!

I thought this was a joke, I don't see how you guys can buy it. Years ago, yeah, but now I don't think so.

No need to invade canada, just ask the canadians kindly to annex them im pretty sure they will agree.

Greenland is a pretty good place for oil. Plus with all the arctic ice disappearing, the arctic would be a major trade route in the coming decades. The idea is good. However, I don't think the US could just afford Greenland. Not only that, Denmark would probably decline to that offer. It has 330% of US oil reserves and about 110% of Russia's. Denmark wouldn't just sell it off for scraps.

Maybe you wankers should pay off your debt, get your people out of poverty, tax the rich rather than giving them more money with the excuse of trickle down economics, give drinking water and electricity to your foreign territories and stop spending trillions on wars to stomp on growing economies. And then maybe the US could afford to buy Greenland for a few trillion.
(ps the gdp of greenland is just 2 billion that too because of its really tiny population but it will be possibly worth way way more in the future)

We will buy Greenland, then as global warming takes its course, we can begin to drill oil. The asset value will increase dramatically and then we can use Greenland to pay off the U.S. national debt. Buy low sell high.

So why would they sell that gold mine? Everyone also knows that the North of the planet is melting anyway, so would Denmark even think about selling.
