I'm standing with Tito on this. Any kind of deconstructionism on this almost always leads to calamity. The most beta of men are still 'men'. Women who can't have children are still women, and no matter the surgery, a man remains a man, minus his genitalia. There are outliers who are an extremely small number but in most of those cases; the parents tend to make the decision to assign them one gender in order to make their lives easier.

Gender is binary and shouldn't be up for debate. It's an unnecessary deconstruction firmly based on a liberal individualist mentality. This deconstructionism has led to ruin and societal anxiety. It's just dangerous. People have enough problems without their metaphysical interpretation of reality crashing down on them. It's baked into our language and is a direct product of thousands of years of development. Eroding this subliminal and foundational concept is dangerous.

It's also a clear distraction created by post-modernist ex-marxists and continued on by neo-liberals. It prevents class recognition, depresses the populace and clearly raises anxieties over peoples place in the world. 'Trans' is the new liberation front, all the money and effort is put into it while genuine issues over decades of bad policy are swept aside. This, in my opinion, is an extremely oppressive narrative. It's conceptual 'Brutalism' used to deracinate the individual from their natural collective, and reminds them that they are an insignificant meaningless speck with no power, will or place. The visceral reaction of anyone reading this pure horror. It is designed to fuck with you: "We will castrate your kids and there is nothing you can do about it, peasant."

Looking at the data, there is a small subset, about 0.2% of the population, that is sort of "stuck in the wrong body". Very feminine men, or masculine females, who afterwards don't regret transitioning. For those people, I guess they should be allowed to do whatever they want to their own body after they turn 18. Most transgenders aren't like this though, most are just mentally unstable and have a fetish, that becomes their life. Those people need fucking treatment.

I adhere to the Structural Functionalism theory of Sociology for macro-problems, and the theory of Symbolic Interactionism for micro ones. Following in-line with both of these theories, you have a place in a given society based upon your titles and your interactions with other people; say I'm an adherent to Labeling theory if you must, but I would argue that gender dysphoria constitutes a meaningful interaction that results in being labelled as an "other"; the Social Gender hypothesis attemtps to organize different labels into quantifiable and attributable groups. Now as I've previously argued: There are not seventy-two genders, nor should I add are mental illnesses a quantifiable means by which to label someone. Discerning between the corrupt and the ill is a difficult task here, but to put it thusly: Many societies throughout history have recognized more than two genders due to the genetic differences between feminine and masculine attributes in many people. Gender here not referring to your biological sex, but your structural role in society: A man with a genetic predisposition against physical work and instead towards planning in a primal society would be just as valuable as the hunter or the scavenger. Hell, it's the reason the neolithic revolution sprang in the first place. But I digress.

You don't understand how the scientific method operates, do you? I label it a hypothesis because the evidence suggesting physical alteration via transexualism isn't a mental disorder is conjecture in my opinion, whereas gender dysphoria onset by genetic and environmental factors is completely sound. Someone like Chevalier d'Éon comes to mind.

You're equating the Bronze Age collapse, the Nubian invasions, and various famines and uprisings over class discrepancies to people with gender dysphoria? I honestly think we're on different pages here: I'm not defending crazed blue-haired feministas throwing rocks at people and wearing Antifa gear, nor am I defending mentally deranged individuals that chop off their genitals, only to have a 41% chance of suicide thereafter. There are legitimately people that do not feel comfortable with who they are, and you can call that a mental disorder if you desire, but it's not something they have the ability to change without living horribly.

Literally what? And yes, we used to put people in asylums for inane shit. My grandmother nearly had a lobotomy in the sixties because she has manic depression, but thankfully as a society we've decided brutality isn't the solution to mental disorders.

I have no agenda behind supporting people like this, I'm not sure if you can comprehend the paradox these people have to deal with daily: Live a lie and repress your mental self-realized self to appease strangers, or live how you see fit and have strangers loathe your existence. This is a developmental question most people ask throughout their lives, and forms a very keen philosophical divide between Western and other cultures: Western philosophy is built upon Stoicism and Individualism, and in both of these schools of thought, you personal strength to do and live as you see fit is paramount. Living for the sake of others beyond your primary and secondary groups is not a concept you can adhere to, only recently in the past few centuries has the concept of a national identity seeped its way into the Western conscious, for a tertiary group to consider. But it is through this tertiary grouping that conflict like this arises, much like any other wedge issue such as abortion, immigration, UBI, etc.

Asking ourselves who we are is the one of the oldest questions, and you want to solve it through option of choosing genders?

I agree progress exist, but not in nature and biology. You can observe and take notes from the nature, but there is no progress, just repetition of life.

You say it is not interchangeable 'since the past decade', does this mean we can change everything just because we want to? If i say i fly, and you agree, does that mean i can truly fly? If we agree 2+2=5, if we all agree and delete all previous data, is that really the truth?

Are we gonna vote on everything today? If most of society agree to legalize gays or trans or gender dysphoria or whatever you call it, should we accept it as normal?
