I'm radical sure, but I care about all people.
When I say take control of people, I still want them to think for themselves and be free to live and say what they like, if someone is a communist, good for them it shows they care about stuff .. so I am liberal in that sense, but people should be encouraged to make something of themselves, even if its just a good father/mother/husband/wife.
I guess a better definition is "tolerant nationalism"... there's no party out there that provides this, they're either right wing and angry or left wing and naive.
so you are commie?
I have to say stuff like this frustrates me. He is trying to explain you well and good how he believes a society should be, and you're just trying to tag him into an ideology. He is what he is, man. Stop looking at if he is a "communist" or a "fascist" or a "liberal" or a "pastafarian" or whatever and look at what he really advocates. Honestly why does everyone love to categorise so much rather than look at the actual picture...
dw he's just trying to troll

meh philosophically you are fascist too it seems
you said "ah I'd call myself a "nationalist", but not in the sense that I would only look out for white people.
As far as I'm concerned anyone willing to come to the UK to settle here and work and contribute to society is a Brit.... same as the USA when it encouraged migration." - too lazy to quote btw
this is essentially fascism; strong immigration control however willing to let some people in who can contribute to society
Fascism has nothing to do with race or hatred, it can be applied to any people or any country. However benito mussolini had said some racially motivated things but that has nothing to do with the actual political ideology.
I can go with that, but there's the problem of the taboo surrounding it, when you say "fascism" people think of labour camps, oppression and military police. A huge problem with fascism is that historically when it has been put to use it was mobilized by factors of hate and supremacy... Whereas I'd use rhetoric of cohesion and empowerment (for all people).
I would let people into the country who had the desire to contribute too regardless of the skills they had on entry, but obviously that's hard to implement practically.
ideally I'd like to think of a fresh term that describes what I believe in better.
You're not wrong though.
That's the whole point.
No ideology achieved its potential: Fascism turned into hatred and violence, Communism turned into big brother state and Capitalism turned into imperialism.
As i've studied:
Fascism promote culture over nationality, allow foreigners to integrate into culture, be against globalization/internationalism. Yet it turned into militarism and expansion at the cost of foreigners.
Capitalism is about free market, value-price ratio, no or limited political involvement into economy, money as capital for sake of convenience, letting people make profit and creating conditions to spend that profit for some meaningful gain. Yet it turned into system where 99% have minimum wage and 1% became imperialists starting wars to get more profit
Communism is about human emancipation, abolishing slavery, creating workers rights and confiscation of bourgeois property gained by stealing and cheating. Yet it turned into confiscation of every property human own, closed borders and big brother government.
Do you see a pattern by now? Yep; all 3 have 'elites', whether its called 'fascist dictator', 'communist party' or 'capitalist corporation'. They all have 1 group, called by 3 different names: 'Grand Council', 'Supreme Soviet', and 'Parliament'.
Someone is hijacking these ideologies for their interest (no i don't mean jews..). If these ideologies are established properly as their creators intended, they would work. Even Fascism, like in Spain i believe. I think they didn't had wars with foreign nations and didn't join/support Axis in WW2. Although i believe Fascism is the easiest to hijack and divert to different cause like neo-nazism, skinheads and other gangs leading demonstrations and protest march across the globe (yes, when you see a protest, 90% chance is they are led by ultranationalist radicals/extremists/fundamentalists, and irony is they comprise 1% of the protesters).

I'd like to remain optimistic, but you make some really good points.
I would also like to point out that the biggest flaw in any ideology is human nature.... it might be some hidden entity or group manipulating events, but I think our habit of simplifying concepts and cutting ideas down into emotion sets us back.

I know, i just don't speak about it as it sounds like conspiracy theory to others. I am 90% sure it's them, i think i see their pattern for the last 20 years and from the books i see their work in the last 500 years.
They are more powerful than Jewish bankers, American corporations, German industrialists, Chinese politicians and Russian statesmen.
Now, for the love of God, please debate about German vs Chinese economic system!

Big words with no RL content.
Probably most "laisser faire" economy that ever existed, at least for the (Party/Economic) Elite.
State Capitalism?
I follow closely Chinese economy and their policies. Chinese Government said in the 90's that business is growing so fast they are unable to keep pace and regulate it. Maybe that's why it looks like laisser-faire to you?
Anyway; if stereotype is true that laisser-faire economy grow and develop faster while more regulated economies tend to stagnate or degress, why we don't simply deregulate our economies and let it take its course? Pinochet in Chile, Thatcher in England sold state assets, deregulated business and achieved growth, USSR and Venezuela regulated economy heavily and crashed.

Franco wanted to invade Portugal for example, the only reason why he didn't join/support Axis in WW2 was because he didn't want to embroil Spain in a war he wasn't sure whether he'd win + Spain didn't have the capability nor the unity needed to join a full-blown war.
Fun fact: Franco changed Spain's timezone to +1 to align itself more with Germany
