Basically, Microsoft is being a total bitch of a company and while officially promoting Moonlight as the version for FOSS OSs, continues to keep a tight lock on the source code of Silverlight and distribution outside of official channels. And because of this douchey behaviour, it's ultimately the end users that are affected. And Linux+KDE (awesum distro) >>>>> Microsoft Shitdows. Horrendous. I think the way they're doing this is plain hypocritical. You can always become a Moonlight developer though, I'd love to play Afterwind on my Linux distribution!

It is a shame indeed. When we started developing AW, Silverlight v1 has just been released and things looked very bright for compatibility. And now we end up with a sizable audience totally excluded...

Well poop. I was just looking through the Moonlight mailing list and I found this highly butthurt-inducing post by Miguel de Icaza (the guy who started GNOME and the Mono and Moonlight projects among other things). So yeah, Moonlight is pretty much dead. Feels bad man. You should probably put this in the FAQ. And while you're at it--because we get so many questions about it on the forum, you might as well make separate sections in the FAQ about Mac and Linux so the info can be found easier. PS: Did you really consider the Linux gaming market? Most indie developers don't even know of Linux's existence. o_O
